Ischia has lost none of its fame of the 70s and 80s. The ferry ride from Naples is already a wonderful experience that transports the traveller to another world. Passing Vesuvius and small neighbouring islands, you reach the picturesque port of Forio in 1.5 hours. The scent of lemons is in the air and when the sun goes down, the island shines in a wonderful, Mediterranean light.

In fact, you don't even need a book.

The lighthouse itself, with its spectacular views, the roof terrace, the restaurant terrace and the large garden, actually make excursions into the surrounding area superfluous. Nevertheless, the Poseidon thermal baths, the small harbor of Forio, a boat trip to San Angelo or Capri and the many culinary highlights of Ischia are tempting. The lighthouse team knows the best places and will gladly arrange a small Ape taxi for guests to explore the island with style.
The building with its high domed ceilings, the beautiful terraces, the scent of aromatic herbs, the sea and the quite long climb back to civilization have inspired the decision to have a restaurant in the lighthouse. Breakfast and lunch are served to guests in a private setting, while in the evening a couple of friends of the lighthouse can join them. The gastronomic concept is still one of the best kept secrets of the Amalfi Coast, but anyone who sees the photos can imagine the great potential it holds.
All 4 rooms are beautiful, quiet retreats. The architecture of the lighthouse is completely symmetrical, so all rooms are the same size. The furnishings are high quality, with a touch of maritime elegance. The main difference is the view.

What could be better than stepping out of your lighthouse room just before sunset, descending the spiral staircase and entering directly into a beautiful restaurant, where you can spend an unforgettable evening with a multi-course menu. The unique sunset is experienced during an aperitif, the dinner on the terrace, high above the sea, while the light of the lighthouse lights the way for the ships. In winter, dinner is served in the former rooms of the lighthouse keeper, whose brave wife Lucia gave the restaurant its name.

20 (Italian) minutes taxi to Molo Beverello ferry port with hourly departures to Ischia (approx. 1.5h).
Porto Ischia (30 minutes taxi), Casamicciola (15 minutes taxi), Porto Forio (10 minutes taxi).
Pick up from the port by our lighthouse taxi. Our donkey will be waiting for you on site to carry your suitcases down the stairs to the lighthouse.
